A lunch or dinner at the Montelucci restaurant is an unforgettable experience.  The building once housed an olive press and the old millstone is still on display.  Enjoy the blend of good food, history and nature while looking out over the breathtaking view. An experience that combines beauty, professionalism and the exquisite flavours of genuine Tuscan cooking. An experience of real farmhouse cooking using only use the finest raw materials.

In this unique magical place in the countryside above Pergine Valdarno, a stone’s throw from Valdichiana and Chianti, you can taste the finest dishes of the Tuscan culinary tradition, all prepared with a modern and innovative twist.  Our restaurant has a modest country chic style, with open brickwork, a lot of wood and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Our menus have been carefully designed to meet the needs of all our guests. We have meat and vegetarian dishes, typical Tuscan dishes and many classic dishes from other Italian regions.

Our tasting menu normally includes a starter, a pasta rice or soup course and a main dish with a side.

We also have theme evenings where you can taste some of Tuscany’s specialties (grilled meats and game for example). On such occasions our alla carte menu is also available.

The price of our tasting menu is €25 (drinks excluded).

OUR RESTAURANT IS OPEN FOR A MINIMUM OF 4 DINERS.

When our restaurant is closed we are happy to serve you cold dishes in the Reception space at Montelucci.  We are also happy to recommend other eating places nearby.

OUR SPECIALTIES

Our guiding philosophy is to choose the best raw materials and to respect the seasons. Our menu is a delicious celebration of the best Tuscany has to offer. We are proud to use products from our own Farm: egg pasta and freshly prepared bread, extra virgin olive oil, our own wines, vegetables and fruit from our garden, Chianina steaks. The Montelucci hunting reserves supply us with deer, pheasant and boar - game is one of our specialties. We take care to use local products like the Zolfino Bean from Pratomagno, Salamis made with Cinta Senese pork and, of course, Chianina steaks from Valdarno.

    Incredibly rare and precious, the Zolfino bean is a delicacy from the Pratomagno mountain area. It has an almost non existent outer skin and is not always easy to find. Once you’ve tasted these wonderful beans, you’ll never forget their delicate flavour.

    Watched over by the hills covered in olive trees and the silent, solitary mountains that surround our borgo, the vegetables growing in our garden cannot be anything other than healthy and refined.
